ICT and Privacy Audits
Self-paced ICT Audit
ICT Audit and Review undertaken using BC360 offers a self-paced audit through the use of our tool. Firstly the tool has the flexibility to enable your ICT staff to do an audit or we can offer our consulting services and undertake the audit on your behalf. This is especially attractive for organisations that do not have internal ICT. It allows management to ensure they are provided with the best advice from their Managed Service Providers (MSP). In terms of responding to IT risks, according to LIFARS, the importance of IT audits includes two levels.
The first is to prevent risks: IT audits can help companies identify and prevent risks in the IT systems that support the business. Finally, it can also help companies audit IT systems to avoid possible risks from external compliance.An information technology audit, or information systems audit, is an examination of the management controls within an Information technology (IT) infrastructure. As a result, the evaluation of obtained evidence determines if the information systems are safeguarding assets, maintaining data integrity. It also provides an indication if they are operating effectively to achieve the organisation’s goals or objectives.
By subscribing to one of our plans you could undertake a self-paced-audit against a set of predefined questions and establish what are the gaps in your Business Continuity Plan.
Self-paced Privacy Audit
BC360 has developed a Privacy Audit which will align with 13 Australian Privacy Principles. This is a self-paced audit. Alternatively you can engage our team to help you.
The result of a privacy audit will generally be a report containing:
- a description of the policies and practices of the organisation relating to privacy and information management;
- a ‘map’ of which privacy principles and Acts apply to the organisation;
- risk areas identified in the privacy control environment;
- gaps identified with respect to compliance with the privacy principles;
